Her final role came in the 1980 film Alligator, an exploitation horror picture about a pet alligator tormenting the people of Chicago after flushed down the toilet. She was born Suellyn Lyon in Davenport, Iowa, the last of five children of Sue Karr Lyon, who worked as a hospital house mother.
